Worse letting agents in Cardiff, these company are the most racist letting company I’ve ever seen in the whole of Wales. Imagine them requesting i and my partner give one guarantor each before we can let a 2bed property, I even told them my partner reside in London and he visit during holidays, they responded he have to pay 6months rent if he won’t be able to offer a guarantor. I feel there should be an organization in UK that regulate the inhuman character of all this letting companies for wicked acts. Just because I’m black I’m not entitled to let a 2bed in peace so sad, most cruelty acts of all.

I would give 0 stars if possible!! Absolute sham of a company, please if you are a parent of a young person/s avoid this company, they will do all they can to avoid talking to you, will not give names of managers/people responsible, do not resolve issues, withhold damage deposits for no legitimate reason, do not understand the concept of data protection or 3rd party authority, the list goes on. Avoid at all costs.

AVOID !!!!!! Would leave zero if I could. Please please avoid these vile people at all costs. They do not care about tenants. No matter how much you plea with them they are the most unreasonable, unprofessional people I have ever tried to deal with in my life. You can never speak to a manager to try and sort any problems. Once you have signed you may as well forget any future help. They push you to sign and lie constantly. Please do your homework and look at the awful reviews of this company there’s many more if you do a Google search. Absolute bunch of cowboys

If you are a student letting a property for the first time, I cannot stress how much I would avoid 2let2 if possible. CPS has a really bad reputation and honestly, I know other students who have had less issues with them (aside from one house who were forced to live with rats).
I have recently entered a contract with Condor Properties and the difference in customer service is night and day. Actually being able to speak directly to a representative through WhatsApp is both reassuring and helpful. During my tenancy with 2let2, we had no way of speaking directly to the Landlord, which meant that when the utilities had not been cancelled from the previous tenant, for months I had to endure the stress of receiving overdue payments unassisted, which eventually exceeded £1,000. Following a conversation with the supplier, they began to send letters addressed to our landlord, but as I had no way of contacting him, they were never passed along. Conveniently, after a while of the old supplier trying to reach our landlord, the company had the names of all the tenants, despite us never opening an account with them. So instead of proactively helping us with the utilities, our landlord simply provided our names and distanced himself from any responsibility.
The lack of contact with the landlord was not the only issue, the organisation and administration at 2Let2 is an absolute shambles. Firstly, the property was not ready at the date they provided, there were still tradesmen in the house doing work, using the electricity from the previous supplier that we were expected to pay. Considering we were students who never had any experience with renting a property, they left us completely in the dark (no pun intended). Secondly, they provided us with the wrong keys to the property, some of us had two front door keys, two room keys, or room keys that opened other rooms. After I had spent some time working out which keys were missing, they made the process of acquiring the right keys a massive ball ache, and kept referring to their records as 'correct', and insisted on me sending photos of every individual key, instead of just taking my word for it. As it turned out, their records were not correct. During this whole process one of my housemates didn't even have a front door key.
Shortly after this, one of our housemates had to drop out of university, so we needed somebody to replace him on the joint contract. This process is arduous and difficult to do when your financial guarantor is not in Cardiff, and was prolonged by 2Let2 providing the incorrect forms for this procedure.
Finally, they will try and rinse you of your deposit at every opportunity. They will tell you to take photos of obvious damage such as cracks and missing tiles (and at our property there were plenty before we moved in), but things like dirty mattresses and lightbulbs aren't mentioned. I'm sure they've probably fined every tenant since the first for the same mattress stains, I always use a mattress protector so it didn't even occur to me to photograph the mattress in the event of a fine. To add insult to injury, whilst every cleaning fine was completely justified, the house is undergoing an extension and walls are being knocked down - so being fined to clean these areas is not honest or transparent at all and is just an excuse to withhold your deposit. Speaking of withholding deposits, they will try and catch you out on council tax, even though if you're a student you are not obliged to pay it. They knew we were students and yet they withheld deposit until we provided our certificates of exemption, and it wasn't until I said that we were not liable for the one non-student tenant, that the process moved along.
Overall, I'd give a 0 star rating if I could, however, the maintenance team deserve a mention. They deserve 5 stars in all honesty, they sent tradesmen out 7 days a week and they were always friendly and attentive. They are miles ahead of the letting agency itself, and don't deserve to be tarred with the same brush.

I was offered a one bed flat by 2let2 for over a year or so . There were no issues with the flat at all and the only one thing was a jamming window which the agency fixed same day. Very helpful and friendly staff they chased me to return my deposit back in full. I would highly recommend.

Great experience here, spoke to lady called Urvisha who helped me with my sisters accommodation. Gave great advice and was extremely helpful. Very well spoken and polite, would definitely recommend this agency. Very professional and made the process so smooth! Thank you again!

Completely lied to by staff. Signed a lease as they said to us that the kitchen and bathroom were being redone and would be brand new by time we moved in and this was the reason we signed the lease, they were not and they were low quality and damaged. Flat dirty when moved in. Mould on walls and affected personal items. When discussed with staff we were laughed at and told that they never said that, and that if we wanted to fix the mould issues we had to do it ourselves. No help from staff, luckily after 6 weeks of us cleaning and doing as much stuff to the flat as we could we were able to find someone else to take the lease so we could move out. These are not professional people and are completely horrible.

I must admit to having some cynicism about 2let2, and estate agents in general, so I have been pleasantly surprised by our time with them. Moving in was easy, they made the whole process very straight forward for us from the start. We unfortunately did not renew our contract on our first property with them in time to stay an additional year, as by the time we made our decision they had found new tenants (which is fair enough as they did explain the process and gave us plenty of warning to decide), but they found us an equally ideal house in the same area to move to. Moving over to that house for the second year was also a smooth transition.
Regarding our deposits, we cleaned both houses thoroughly and made a real effort to get every corner clean; for the first house they charged only a small fee for a broken freezer drawer and for leaving an old bike in the garden (which was our fault entirely) but nothing massive, and in the second house they did not charge us anything at all. Our second house had a few maintenance issues which we knew about when we moved in, but all of those problems got fixed for us quickly, although we were also blessed with a great landlord who worked hard to keep us as tenants in this regard.
I'm not going to pretend 2let2 are perfect and be too effusive. Their communication is not always perfect, so for any non-urgent issues I usually would email them, and then if I did not hear a reply in a couple of days I'd give them a couple of calls. They'd usually be very busy so occasionally needed reminding about a problem too, but it would always get resolved in the end, with friendly customer service every time. Other than that though we had no problems, so I am not going to take a star off for that, as I always knew they'd come through in the end. We had no urgent issues that came up luckily, but if we had I am sure they would have been on the case immediately.
I honestly believe the majority of the bad reviews have come from young students, who have left their first proper house and have not taken enough care with them, and then are offended to have reasonable charges taken off them to fix them. Anything from Blu-tack marks on paint to major damage to furniture will be charged by any estate agent, but unfortunately students are more likely to ignore the rules and then be shocked to be charged afterwards. I know this as I was the same when I was younger, I definitely did not take care of my homes in the past either. If you make a reasonable effort to maintain the house, and clean it thoroughly when you leave, 2let2 will return your deposit too I am sure. Likewise, for anything not urgent, have patience with them and they will work hard to resolve your problems. I likewise lacked such patience when I was younger and would expect immediate service, even though most issues can wait.
So to summarise, 2let2 are very busy and so can be slow to respond, but otherwise we had two tenancies with them in two different properties, and they were always helpful, friendly, and made our time with them very easy. We have had a great time with them in both of our houses, and I will happily return to them in the future if an ideal property comes up (I only left as the other housemates were leaving too, and I found a perfect flat with a different agency before 2let2 had one I wanted). I am pleasantly shocked that my cynicism was almost entirely wrong about them, and hope I have the same positive experience with all future estate agencies too!

Awful experience. And UNSAFE HOUSE!
They've posted reviews for themselves here to try and make them look better. How many young students are called Susan at present? But yet they have 2 separate customers posting positive reviews. 2 Jason Antonio's too hmmm I smell a rat!
Communication was non EXISTENT. I don't know how many times I sent emails to just have no response. I had to go into the agency on several occasions to try and resolve issues and was tried to be made a fool of every time by their staff, mainly Imogen, as they questioned me over whether I had emailed them. Their reply? We have a team working on it. Had to practically claw our deposit back 4 months after it was supposed to be returned. Refused to leave on what I think was the 3rd attempt until they contacted the landlord who was conveniently not in the country every time I tried to get in contact. Did not fix any of the problems like damp which resulted in a hole in the wall. There was an ant infestation at the beginning of the year and we were told to sort it ourselves even though we had only just moved in. We were charged for not defrosting the freezer?! Which is even more of a joke considering it was so full of ice when we arrived that the door would not close and we had to defrost it in the back garden. Not all the radiators worked, and those that did could not be controlled individually. The windows whistled and were poorly installed with massive gaps making all the rooms drafty. The FIRE ALARMS did not work and after we requested new ones they told us not to try and test them as they were only triggered by heat (this was proven to be false). There was a hole in the bathroom floor and the bath would always leak. The laminate flooring was poorly installed and slats of wood revealed massive gaps. Too many problems and yet still no concern shown by the agency. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
