A great experience i must say, right from walking through the door. Very freindly and clean with proffesional bar staff. The best well trained Husky I've ever seen, and a great pint.

Had a lovely Friday evening sat in the pub garden, regulars were friendly the only thing was the parking. I got a £100 fine as my parking ticket I bought didn’t cover the exact time of arrival as I took a phone call on my arrival and did mention to the staff when getting a drink, Chloe was really helpful and told me to email the owners I had difficulty in doing so as email bounced back, I called the landline so many times but never got an answer and even tried instagram as I was only on holiday from Scotland. I have since wrote to the pub and wait to hear back 🤞 as it spoiled my time getting £100 fine. The pub doesn’t belong to the pub apparently but could spoil your time if you choose to park there.

Management didn't seem to realise there was a huge gig going on at Blackweir Fields next door. Completely unprepared. Under-staffed. Women's toilets were filthy. Bar staff kept disappearing to re-stock the bar, surely this should have been done beforehand?? Bar staff seemed to be serving their mates first (I know this as they were calling them by their names!) or serving rude, inconsiderate men who were pushing in rather than the women who had been waiting patiently. Heard one of the bar staff actually say 'I don't care anymore' when questioned by another customer who had been waiting to be served, great attitude! This could have turned into a nasty situation as there wasn't a visible security presence. After 30 minutes of trying to get served we gave up and left. Avoid if you're heading to or from a gig, they obviously can't cope with more than 30 customers at any one time.

Women’s toilets were disgusting. Bar was understaffed and understocked and avoiding serving in order. They knew there was a concert and was no security to count people in or out and was just a free for an all with people pushing to get served. Finally, I understand there was an event but go to many over the years and this was by far the worst in terms of organisation and attitude.

New owners have worked hard to breathe new life into this pub. Looks cosy and the beer gardens are great. Friendly service and a good range of drinks available. Didn't try the food on this occasion but will return.

Have had a lovely couple of nights here this week! Thanks to the new owners, we had a lovely few games of pool (2 pool tables, luckily as we were a large group), played some board games from the selection they had, all whilst enjoying some drinks in a lovely family friendly, clean, positive atmosphere 🥰 we were also told that they are doing food and coffees soon, which will be a fantastic addition to what they have already done in such a short time. Will be back soon !!!!
