This place was a god send for us as travelers. The airline lost our luggage so the planned day we had in our 3 week schedule for laundry was a complete waste. However, at Drift-in we were able to drop off our laundry bag full of dirty laundry and pick it up 3 hours later completely washed and folded for under £20. Even if we weren't traveling I would use this business for this price!!! Don’t pay the crazy hotel fees, use a local business!!!!

Accepts cash only, but there is a QR code on the machine allows a bank card to be linked to enable bank payments, the machines are clean and quick. Friendly man at the shop who explained how the system works, and a nice reception area to wait while your laundry is drying.

All the other comments are spot on. The owner is friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and modern. This is a great spot for travelers because you can pay by phone very easily. There is free wifi if your phone has bad signal (like mine). Highly recommend for anyone needing to get their clothes clean.

First time here, quick & easy to use. The owner was incredibly helpful and gave me useful advice about drying my cashmere. Thank you.

Comfortable seats while you wait, big machines that aren't too expensive. The person on site (maybe the owner?) is very helpful too.

Cardiff was the final stop of our vacation throughout Europe, and we needed a self-serve laundry that takes credit cards as we were out of cash. We found Drift-In by searching online and asking the hotel front desk (Clayton Hotel). You have the option to drop off or stay and do-it-yourself. Costs in June 2023 were £7 for a large washer and £1 for 8-minute dry. A full load including jeans took £5 to dry with a bit of dampness remaining. They offer detergent pods and dryer sheets for sale, though I don't remember the costs. They have quite enough laundry baskets, but they do not have a table to use when folding your laundry. The vending machine takes coins, but there is a small store next door where we bought water. You never know whom you will meet in a local place like this. I had a great conversation with a local lady about politics, guns in America, poverty in both countries, etc. It was great meeting you! Also, thanks to Anthony, the guy working on that day. I told you I would leave a review! Cheers.

Great launderette and dry cleaners. Open till 6pm and the staff are friendly, accommodating and professional. This is my launderette of choice currently, as there are plenty of machines and you can do your own drying there too. Competitive prices and clean, tidy and friendly.

Highly recommend this launderette, especially to those living in nearby Student Village houses. I find it far more convenient than the uni laundry rooms, almost the same price, quicker and far more reliable! The staff are friendly and accommodating and the machines are always in good working order.
